The company known for it’s amazing quality and craftsmanship, has recently reissued five iconic designs from the 1970’s.   These beautiful, classic designs translate very well to today’s bohemian-chic and vintage looks in fashion, and pull double duty for the busy professional woman as well.  If ever there was a time to make a investment purchase, this is it!  The designs include satchels, backpacks, cross body bags, field bags and shoulder bags in mahogany, black and British tan leathers.   Select designs are also available in vermillion (a gorgeous coral/red shade) and white leather.  Here is the one I have my eye on:

Valentino has a limited addition sister line aptly called Red Valentino. RED stands for Romantic Eccentric Dress, as well as the company’s signature color.  The line is incredibly sophisticated, yet still has just the right amount of edge.  These are wonderful designs that an everyday woman could apply to her wardrobe.  Neiman Marcus.com carries the full line, but I’m not only suggesting that items from the line would be a good addition to your wardrobe, I would also suggest that you take note of the details.  These are the styles and details that you will see coming from women’s retailers this Fall.  Here are three of my favorite looks:

I am so happy to see cork return as a detail in footwear this Spring.  I snagged a couple of great pairs with cork detailing last year and still love them!  Cork can have a bohemian effect, and goes great with nautical looks that are quite popular this season as well.  Check out a couple of my favorites here:

Of course with all the fuss over the Royal Wedding today you would think I would write about Kate’s dress, right?

Well, I’m working on it, of course, but today’s focus is on the hats worn by guests. I swoon!

Do you think we will see more American wedding guests wearing hats in the future? I hope so!

I am a big fan of Target, or “Tar-jay” as I sometimes like to refer to it.  In fact, my family and I have formed a personal boycott on that other big box retail store after opening a Target Red-Card account in which we receive a 5% on every purchase.  I have learned over time that Target.com will very frequently run free shipping specials for purchases over $50, and about once every other month, they will also run a 15 – 20% off sale on certain clothing brands.  Merona is one of their brands that I ADORE because the clothing is very well made, many of the women’s dresses have a very tailored fit to them and they are really on trend with current styles.  Here is a great example:

Here’s a gorgeous little sheath dress from Lilly Pulitzer.  It’s one of those versatile looks that would work well for business meetings and easily take you into an evening event.  I have been eyeing a very similar dress I saw at Target from their Merona Collection:

The Merona brand also makes a great cardigan sweater.  I have several sheath dresses by Merona and they are worth every penny of the $39.99 average retail price.  Of course, I come from the old school way of thinking that says, “Only a fool pays retail.” so I use my Target card and wait for sales as much as possible!
