Hello all!  My name is Jeannine Kennedy and I am the the owner of Atlanta based FAVOR Events, a full service wedding planning company.  As a small business owner, I am most proud of the professionalism and level of detailed service provided by FAVOR Events.  These attributes resulted in all our clients from 2008 – 2009 coming entirely from referrals.  My lifelong obsession with fashion and style has merged with my experience in corporate event and wedding planning in this exciting new blog, www.thestylishplanner.com.  I created it for you – YOU are The Stylish Planner!  I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.

My previous corporate event planning experience covering 14 years afforded me wonderful opportunities.  I was able to work on several exciting projects including acting as a corporate hostess for the 1996 Olympic Games, planning an annual event at Atlanta Motor Speedway for IndyCar owners, as well as corporate liaison for Music Midtown and AidsWalk Atlanta.  I left the corporate world in 2001 to spend 4 years as a stay at home and one year teaching private school before starting FAVOR Events in 2007.  Through The Stylish Planner™, I am excited to share my style journey, business successes and failures, as well as my never-ending quest to improve my own personal brand.

On a personal note, I would like readers of The Stylish Planner™ to know these things about me:

• I am still crazy in love with my husband of 13 years.  Someone once said he looks like Larry the Cable Guy – I love him anyway – my husband, not Larry the Cable Guy.
• My greatest accomplishment in life is reflected in the sweet spirit of my 8 year old son, Gabe.  He talks an awful lot, though.  Not sure where he gets that from.  ;-)
• I am terribly afraid of aging and doing it well.
• I have what is likely an unhealthy affection for coffee, stationery and shoes.
• I still enjoy a lifelong love affair with books and the smell of a public library.  I like technology, but I really love the feel of a book in my hands and the way time races by while I get lost in the story.
• My favorite TV show is Glee.  If you also like it, we will probably end up singing show tunes together at some point – it’s just a matter of time, really.
• I count among my favorite possessions a threadbare handkerchief that belonged to my grandmother and my mother’s “flour sack” china.  Ask me about the china sometime – it’s really a lovely story.
• I despise pantyhose, but I love fishnet stockings.
• My favorite musicians include Bonnie Raitt, Johnny Cash, Mary J. Blige and Sugarland.
• If you ask my favorite color, I find it utterly impossible to provide one answer.
