I’ve often wished I were more adventurous when it comes to fashion.  While I admire many trends, bold colors and graphic patterns, the practical side of me always seems to win out.  While I am personally not crazy about the socks and sandals trend, I have seen a few photos of it done well and it has tempted me to give it a whirl.  I’m still working up the nerve!  Done right, I really liked the pulled together casual feel it conveys.

For instance, I really like Carrie’s look below.  I would have paired it with a black sandal instead of brown, but that’s just me.

This look is a little too cute for me.  There’s nothing in the outfit that makes the look edgy.  It looks like something for a 4 year old girl.
