I love this time of year for one pretty shallow reason. I usually get a new dress for my husband’s company Holiday party. Every year, the decision gets harder and harder, as so many great designs are introduced specifically for the Holidays. Here are three of my favorites for 2009. I’ve carefully chosen one dress under $300 for those of you who may be looking to splurge, one dress under $200 and one dress under $100 for those of us who are still being a little more frugal.
Under $300
Karen Millen is one of my favorite new discoveries. I love the unique details added to her designs. If you are looking for a wonderful shopping experience, I highly recommend you visit a store and let the helpful staff “dress” you. Staff receive specialized training to know what designs work best with various body styles. This dress is a stretch silk strapless dress with sculpted frill down the front. Detachable straps included. Available in sizes 2 through 12, this dress retails for $299.00.
Under $200
Dress by White House|Black Market
If you follow The Stylish Planner blog or follow me (Jeannine) on Twitter, you know by now that I adore White House|Black Market. It is my “go to” store for many things, but especially dresses. From the website: this luxurious Venetian lace over smooth black satin creates a rich juxtaposition of textures on this chic cocktail silhouette. Available in sizes 00 to 16, this dress retails for $188.00
Under $100
